If you aspire to scale a spire
A rare chance to ascend Britain’s third tallest – and the North’s highest – spire comes round tomorrow when Preston’s St Walburge’s opens its doors for the annual Summer Fayre tomorrow.
Free to enter the church, alongside this chance to scale the famous building there will be various stalls, tomobola, a raffle and more.
A spokesman for the organisers said the fayre was a great excuse to look around the stunning grade 1 listed church and help support its future.
The Fayre runs from 1pm to 4pm and there will be a small charge for climbing the spire.
