The three-day event, from September 11 to 13, will feature entertainment, food, drink and vintage stalls galore.

The George Formby Experience, GI Jive, The Lancashire Belle, the Cotton Town Hot Club and more will take the stage, and 18-piece orchestra The New Squadronaires, right, will open the event in style.

Traditional food will be served over the weekend, and throughout the two days guests can shop at a host of vintage stalls, try out the glamorous styles of the day at hair and make-up workshops, enter competitions, or simply sip a cup of tea to the sound of authentic 1940s artists.

Evenings will be buzzing with big bands, flash mobs and sing-a-long dances, and the advice is to dres up in your best retro and remember to wear your best dancing shoes.

Tickets start at £7.50 for general admission on Saturday and Sunday 10-4:30pm (concs available).

The ‘Vintage Sing-a-Long’ on the Saturday night 7-11pm, costs £10 and a decadent ‘Vintage Gala Dinner’ tomorrow with a sumptuous three-course dinner, and entertainment throughout costs £40.

Wristbands for the weekend including the Gala Dinner, £50. Call 01772 804444 for more details or to book tickets.
