Formed in 1999 by childhood friends Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian, the London folk-rockers have released six studio albums, their most recent being the critically acclaimed ‘We Were Here’ in September last year.

Their best-known song Painkiller hit the top five in the UK and their debut album The Optimist was nominated for the 2001 Mercury Music Prize.

Paridjanian and Knights cite the likes of Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and John Martyn as key influences.

“Joni is kind of like a force of nature”, said Gale. “There’s a kind of simplicity to that era.”

‘We Were Here’ finds the band – Olly and Gale with long time collaborators Rob Allum and Eddie Myer – at their most assertive and consistent with a hypnotic collection of songs.

This tour sees the band celebrating their past and future in a set packed with classic tracks.
