Get into gear for hot rod show

Petrol heads are in for a treat when the Hot Rod and Custom Car and Bike Show comes to Blackpool’s Winter Gardens.

The annual event takes place from 10am-5pm on Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29, hot on the heels of the finale of the World Fireworks Championships.

Hoyles Promotions promises a huge selection of cars and bikes from the good old days at the indoor show, plus trade stands, an auto jumble and family entertainment.

Tickets cost £6, (£5 concessions) and accompanied children under 12 go free. They will be available on the door or via www.ticketmaster.co.uk.

The penultimate Friday of the World Fireworks Championships takes place this Friday, September 20, at 7.30pm, at the Tower Festival Headland, when it will be the turn of France to impress the judges,

The winner will be announced following a celebration display at 7.30pm on Friday, September 27. Entry to both is free.
