The workshops at the Harris will take families on a Voyage of Discovery this Saturday, July 26, between 10am and 3pm.

There are lots of free activities on offer for landlubbers and sea dogs of all ages, inspired by the museum’s summer exhibition, Making Waves: Art Inspired by the Sea!

Children will be able to make their own sea-inspired sculptures and create an ocean in a bottle; handle objects found at Preston Dock; hear Stories of the Sea in writing and poetry workshops; play sea-themed games; and join in the Movement of the Sea workshop with theatre company, La Petite Mort.

There will also be sea shanties with the Liverpool Shanty Kings.

Every Tuesday: Hands On at the Harris, arty and historical fun between 1.30-3.30pm.

Every Wednesday: Drop in between 1.30-3.30pm

Every Thursday: Be an Arty Explorer or a Time Explorer, 10.30am-12.30pm

Saturdays (except August 2) look out for: Hands On at the Harris, 11.30-3.30pm.

Family Egyptian Balcony Tour, 11-11.45am (Aug 16&30)

Sew Cool Club: 1.30-3.30pm (August 16, £2 per child).
