Free for all, cheap for campers

Up to 50 acts will play at the fourth FREE Kirkby Lonsdale Beer and Music Festival this weekend.

The event, at Kirkby Lonsdale Rugby Club, will be the biggest yet, with extra facilities, more camping, a cocktail bar and kids activities.

The music takes place across two stages in a marquee, ensuring near seemless transition between bands.

Friday brings music from Tiffany, Jack Willan, Tangent Jazz, Back of Beyond with Backsheesh and Afterburner.

Saturday’s line-up includes with 42, Amy Jo Clough, Big Al, Iona Lane, Lily & Scot, Banjo Dicky & Fiddling Terence, Dirty Vertebrae, Wayne & Paddy, Beant Allen, Chuck Fish, Pears, Gritty Britain, Mistery Machine, Jabba the Funk and Sad Eyed Puffins.

On Sunday there’ll be sets from, among others, NIMROD, Hairy Buskers, Thistle, The Wasters, Hiroshima Twinkle, Braxton Hicks, Cartoon Food, Massive Wagons and The Lumberjack Cowboy Heartbreak Truckin Co.

Free to enter, caravans/tents £25 for whole weekend.
