He was described as ‘the Mike Skinner of folk’ by Music Week and last year made a name for himself online by releasing a song every single week for the whole year.

George Barnett, 19, wanted to be a drummer until three years ago. He even won UK Young Drummer of the Year in 2008.

But he decided he could probably write songs too and his first EP, Sierra Planes, was released in September 2010.

George’s first album, 17 Days, followed in March 2012 and since then George and his band The Ninth Wave have been creating a stir on the gig circuit with their phenomenal live show.

Doors open at 7.30pm.
