Don’t be fooled by the name, this is no tribute act.

Besides being led by Foxton, Paul Weller’s right hand man in the legendary 70s chart toppers The Jam, the band packs a wallop from some of the most in-demand musicians on the scene.

Since forming in 2007, From The Jam have electrified audiences on both sides of the Atlantic and were recently the subject of an in-depth double-page feature in The Sunday Times.

Originally emerging as part of the punk scene in 1977, The Jam always offered something a bit different to three-chord angst, and they matured into arguably the best songwriting band of their day.

By the time they started making waves in the charts, they were already channelling mod influences, updating the style of bands like The Who and The Small Faces, injected with a vitality all their own.

From The Jam return to 53 Degrees after a packed-out gig earlier this year that had the whole room dancing.

Support on the night from Deadwood Dog. Tickets £20 (+ fee) , doors 7.30pm.
