The body, which champions food and drink produced in Lancashire, is holding a Lamb Butchery workshop on September 26 offering people the chance to learn the basic skills – and take home half a lamb.

Honeywell’s Farm Shop, a member of Made in Lancashire, is staging the informal and hands-on unusual day out. The venue says: “Working in a small group and under the expert guidance of the Gornall brothers you will learn the basic cuts of meat from half a lamb and how to use them in the kitchen to create some tasty dishes.

“You will get plenty of hands-on experience as you cut up you very own half a lamb; developing your knife skills and learning how to bone out, roll and stuff different joints of meat.

“The best bit is that you get to take home the half of lamb that you have worked on during the evening worth approximately £80 and some recipes!”

Limited places are available and the event costs £110 per person, with a 20% discount for Friends of Made in Lancashire members.

Honeywells Farm Shop is found off Eaves Lane, Woodplumpton, near Preston. Contact Made in Lancashire 01995 642144.
