Food delights at market day

The event, which is held every second and fourth Saturday of the month, brings a wide variety of traders from the North West into the small town.

There will be butchers that sell rare meat, such as Cumbrian salted lamb, as well as the static local butchers around the market.

The craft side of the market will see traders flogging hand-made jewellery, linen, aprons and there is even a florist who makes hand-made posies and organised garden flowers.
