Who was Tina on Coronation Street?

Prior to the launch of her acting career, Keegan worked on the Selfridges beauty counter in Manchester’s Trafford Centre.

When she auditioned for the role of Tina McIntyre she never expected to get the part and didn’t tell her parents she had auditioned as she didn’t want to disappoint them if she wasn’t successful.

Tina was initially the girlfriend of hot-head David Platt and was only expected to be cast for a short period on the ITV soap.

She was involved in a string of iconic storylines, including those around surrogacy, domestic abuse, murder and depression.

The no-nonsense barmaid also struck up an unlikely friendship with elderly shopkeeper, Rita.

Tina was killed by conman Rob Donovan after she told him she would expose his crimes to the police.

Rob pushed her off the balcony of the Builder's Yard before she died in hospital, but viewers were left in the dark about who killed her until weeks later.

Other suspects included Peter Barlow, who Tina had been having an affair with, and Carla Conner, his wife.

Where did Keegan go after Corrie?

In 2014, the actress’ time as Tina came to an end and in 2015, she married The Only Way is Essex star, Mark Wright.

The celebrity couple had both left their previous TV roles and rumours circulated that they planned to move to Hollywood.

However, Keegan instead took on the leading role in BBC war drama, Our Girl.

She starred in the hit BBC drama from 2016 until the fourth season in spring 2020, but it has been revealed there will not be a fifth season.

Keegan now stars in Sky comedy, Brassic, which first aired in 2019 and has so far had two seasons.

She plays the role of working-class young mum, Erin Croft, struggling to get by as she aspires to achieve a college degree.

She also models her clothing ranges with Lipsy and Very.co.uk.

Why does she look so different now?

Appearing on the Coronation Street 60th anniversary documentary Keegan reminisced about her time on the street, but viewers were quick to comment on how different she looks now, six years on from her last appearance.

She told the Sunday Express in 2018: “I like the fact people point out they think I’ve had a nose job.

"They think I’ve had new cheeks, a new chin – but I haven’t and I don’t think I ever would, if I’m being honest. I’m scared it’ll go wrong!"

It’s believed that she spends upwards of £9k a year on non-surgical face treatments to reduce ageing and maintain healthy cell growth.

Dr Esho, famed as doctor to many celebrities, previously told how Keegan receives a HydraFacial which costs £150, a pHformula Vitamin C Skin Resurfacing treatment which costs £250 and Dermapen micro needling at £350, every month.
