The prom – making use of the marvellous acoustics of Christ Church in Chatburn – will include music from the movies, when the atmosphere of a visit to the cinema will be created with popular film clips on a big screen plus a film specially produced for the concert that is edited to fit the live music.

Live acting in costume and especially composed poetry have also been added to make for what should be a unique and enjoyable evening.

The second half of the evening will be full of high spirited rejoicing with the usual patriotic prom favourites.

Flags will be loaned strictly on the understanding that they are waved vigorously and that the singing by the borrower is loud!

Music will come from the award winning Championship Section Wingates Band – one of the most versatile and entertaining bands in the North of England – who won rave reviews from their recent performance in the play Brassed Off at the Octagon Theatre in Bolton.

The church organ will also feature in the music. Special guests include soprano Kaitlin Wineyard.
