A double dose of nostalgia at the Grand Theatre in Blackpool this weekend with A Night of Dirty Dancing on Saturday and on Sunday the return of the Solid Silver 60s Show.

A Night of Dirty Dancing features all the hits from the much-loved movie, and is a tribute show which takes fans back to the summer of ’63.

Dirty Dancing was the first movie to sell a million videos, produced a number one single, and achieved album sales of 42 million worldwide.

The producer of A Night of Dirty Dancing, Michael Taylor, said: “Dirty Dancing boasted the greatest movie soundtrack of all time.

theatrical treat. Our production brings all the hits to life, live on stage.”

The Solid Silver 60s Show is now on its 30th anniversary tour.

The 2015 show sees original Merseybeats star and Brian Epstein-mentored Billy J Kramer headline the bill, with his first UK dates in nearly two decades.

To coincide with his performance, he is also set to release a new autobiographical studio album, I Won The Fight – the Liverpudlian’s first new studio album in 30 years.

Also confirmed is the original voice of The Searchers Mike Pender, Chris Farlowe; and P. P. Arnold.

The Merseybeats, one of the Cavern Club’s original alumni and who performed with The Beatles and Gerry & The Pacemakers, will also take to the stage as special guests.

More than a million people have seen the show since its first inception 30 years ago.
