Crows flyby at Gregson Centre
Gloucestershire’s multi-award winning folk-fusion outfit the Roving Crows play the Gregson Centre, Lancaster, on October 25, promoting their forthcoming Deliberate Distractions album.
The Crows’ new album was heralded on pre-release as “folk from the leading edge of fusion, all the better for it’s lack of rules and restraints” by Tim Carroll of Folks Words.
The band have had an incredible year, playing venues and festivals all over the UK, with critical acclaim from Mike Harding and Paul O’Grady.
They pride themselves on their energy and ability to connect with audiences, fusing folk, ska, reggae and klezmer in an energetic performance.
In 2012 they won three international music accolades, top Celtic rock band and top fiddle player at the Irish Music Awards, and top folk act at the Exposure Music Awards.
