Community Cinema is Grand

Chorley Empire Community Cinema launches its autumn season with a chance to see director Wes Anderson’s latest critically acclaimed film The Grand Budapest Hotel this Sunday.

The award-winning comedy is Anderson’s most successful film to date and stars Ralph Fiennes and Jude Law.

Spanning a century, a series of stories within stories depict sthe comings and goings of a legendary hotel and the attentive concierge Gustave H (Fiennes). Fiennes returns on October 5 as Charles Dickens in The Invisible Woman.

The society, established in 1986, has just had its best year ever and is looking forward to another run of great films at Chorley Little Theatre. Each movie is screened in digital high-definition with surround sound on to the 23ft-wide screen for the full cinema experience.

There are 10 films lined up between now and December, including A Night At The Cinema In 1914 on November 9, which is showing exclusively in the area as part of a new link-up with the British Film Institute.
