Bringing the funk back to city
A new funk, soul and Motown night launches in Preston this weekend.
The Shake and Drop Funk, Soul and Motown Fo’Yo’Town night will take place every first and third Saturday of the month at Attic above Roper Hall. Friargate, Preston, and kicks off this Saturday, September 20.
Music from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Jackie Wilson, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations and James Brown will all be played at the nights that promise to bring the funk back to the city.
The late-night venue will be open from 10pm until 4am.
Entry costs £4 before 12pm and for NUS members and £5 after 12pm.
