Blazing a Rock Trail Into Preston

Admired by the likes of influential rock magazines Kerrang and Rock Sound, the Guildford four piece have recently returned from a short European tour - taking in Belgium, Germany, Austria, Slovenia and the Czech Republic - and will soon be releasing an album, Crooked Trees, on Lockjaw Records. Although they have garnered much admiration, with several years of hard touring under their belts, this album will be their first, and this first visit to Preston will be part of even more extensive touring to promote it.

Also on the bill are Chorley’s Cactus Knife, a band of whom there are great expectations. In recent months, both Trails and Cactus Knife have been hotly backed by Tipping-Point – a prestigious music industry insider network of promoters, venue owners, band managers and other connected people – which has previously identified breakthrough acts such as Chvrches and Chloe Howl well before their emergence, so to see them both on the same bill is an opportunity not to be missed.
Richa, a Brighton and London based group, complete the line-up, but are no mere filler. The band’s angst-laden and powerful alternative rock sound has earned them a strong following they’re hoping to spread up north.
