The band represented the UK in the 1979 Eurovision Song Contest, finishing seventh with the song Mary Ann.

With numerous line-up changes, Black Lace went on to have success with lightweight party anthems such as Superman, Do The Conga and of course Agadoo.

The fun kicks off at the School Lane pub in Moss Side around 9pm and there is no charge for entrance.

And if you haven’t had your fill of Black Lace then head to Ormskirk when Michaels will be switching on the Christmas lights with former Coronation Street star and Celebrity Big Brother contestant Bruce Jones on Friday, November 29.

And Bruce, who played loveable rogue Les Battersby in the hit soap, is aiming for a Christmas number one having teamed up with the Black Lace’s Michael to record Sing out for Christmas.
