On Bank Holiday Monday the Town Criers Competition will provide a colourful Grand Finale to ten days of varied events.

The Arts Centre is the hub of many events during this festival, and includes activities such as: poetry, painting, origami, and card design workshops.

Past years have seen Palm Court recitals, outdoor worship with Churches Together and a variety of talented street entertainers.

For the younger visitors there is a children’s club which is generally themed on week days. The local toyshop offers craft sessions, the library has various events for the under fives, and the cake shop invites children to “ice a muffin”, to mention but a few.

The Festival is co-ordinated by the Garstang Arts Festival Committee in conjunction with local community groups.
