Three days of classic and current Northern Soul take over Blackpool Tower Ballroom this weekend.

And running alongside the top DJ line-up is a photographic exhibition at Blackpool’s HMV store in Bank Hey Street.

Soul fans can take a break from the dance floor to see photos taken at Northern Soul events up and down the country by photographer Richard Oughton.

Northern Soul and Motown Weekender at the Tower gets under way tomorrow at 9pm until 3am, with sessions from 2pm to 5pm and 8pm to 3am on Saturday, and noon until midnight on Sunday.

DJs on the bill include Ginger, Kev Roberts, Ozz, Rod Allsworth, Jimmy Scriv and Richard Searling among others.

Entry £20 per person.

The Northern Soul exhibition is free at HMV.
