The appearance by the former Radio One and Three DJ, TV presenter and foreign correspondent follows a series of Tuff Life Boogie dates at the venue to mark the ninth anniversary of the death of revered broadcaster John Peel.

Kershaw was a close friend and colleague of Peel for many years, a partnership going back to their stint on Radio One.

From his teenage days promoting major gigs at Leeds University to his time as a driver and roadie for Billy Bragg and BBC TV breakthrough on Whistle Test, in turn leading to a key presenting role at wembley’s Live Aid global spectacular in 1985, it’s been a busy life for a truly passionate music enthusiast.

His obsessive curiosity led to a number of breaks, not least time working for The Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen, sharing an office with Peel, en route amassing a record collection weighing more than seven tons.
