And this time they’re joined on the night by local legends of the anarcho scene, Anarka & Poppy.

The Subhumans formed in Wiltshire in 1980, comprised of vocalist Dick Lucas, guitarist Bruce Treasure, bassist Phil, and drummer Trotsky.

The band enjoyed success as one of the more literate and musically athletic UK punk bands, occupying ground between The Clash’s political songcraft and Crass’ experimental warfare.

Re-forming in 1998 the band has built a massive following around the world ever since.

Support comes from Kill Pretty and Anarka & Poppy.

Kill Pretty features Moet of Hamsters fame, Michael John Leigh (drummer on The Fall’s Dragnet), Fiery Jack, and the father and son team of Chris (Blue Orchids, Factory Star, Silver Sound Explosion) and Josh Dutton.

Anarka & Poppy were formed in Preston in 1982 by local animal rights activists and anarchists Sean (guitar) and Jane (vocals) and went on to play dates with the likes of Subhumans, Chumbawamba, The Membranes and New Model Army. Doors 8pm on Friday November 14.

Tickets £8 advance, £10 on the door, and are available from The Continental and Action Records. Online from Skiddle and SEE Tickets.
