Arrests made after cannabis and £6,000 in cash seized in Preston drug raid

Two suspected drug dealers have been arrested after "3.5kgs of cannabis" and thousands of pounds in cash was seized in Preston.

The haul was discovered after police attended an address in Ingol following a community tip-off.

A 36-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were subsequently arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production and supply of Class A and B drugs.

In a statement published today (April 16), officers confirmed an investigation has been launched following the find.

"The production and supply of drugs has a detrimental effect on the areas you live, and this is apparent from the information you provide, so please keep contacting us," a spokesman said.

"We will continue to enforce the legislation that exists in England and Wales in relation to cannabis."
