Hide AdHe rose to fame as an 80s teen idol, picking up Brit Awards for Best British Male and Best British Album.
He sang the opening lines on the original release of the Band Aid single Do They Know It’s Christmas, and appeared at Wembley Stadium for Live Aid the following summer in July 1985.
Since the mid-90s he has continued to write music and perform with his band Los Pacaminos.
His concert in Lytham is being presented by Lytham Festival organisers and promoters Cuffe and Taylor as a taster of the acts appearing at the festival’s Mix Tape night on Friday, August 5. Director Peter Taylor said: “We are delighted that Lytham Festival is presenting Paul Young for one night only.
