Last season, after taking the managerial role with the Shrimps, Adams had said the standard in the bottom tier wasn’t as good as it had been when he was in charge at Plymouth Argyle.
However, coming towards the end of the second month of the season, and with the Shrimps having enjoyed a promising start to the campaign, the manager likes what he has seen so far.

“The way the teams have tried to play, is that because there’s no supporters or no pressure on them?
“I don’t know but I think the quality has been good based on what I’ve seen.”
There is the possibility that, given the condensed fixture list, it may be the team that has the fewest injuries this season which has success, rather than the one with the best squad on paper.

“It’s going to be very difficult for all clubs,” Adams said.
“We’re in a situation where we had a fully-fit squad but now we have people isolating and others injured.
“That just shows you what 48 hours can do but it’s something we have to deal with as a management team.”
