Former England and Chorley striker Paul Mariner recovering after brain surgery
Mariner, 67, started his career with Chorley and move into the professional game when he signed for Plymouth Argyle in 1973.
He later joined Ipswich Town where he helped them win the FA Cup in 1978 and the UEFA Cup in 1981.

Hide AdBolton-born Mariner was capped 35 times by England, scoring 13 goals, with him playing at the 1982 World Cup in Spain.
His club career also took him to Arsenal and Portsmouth, before he moved to America.
In the mid 1990s, he had a brief spell at Preston North End, working with the strikers during Gary Peters' time as manager.
Replying to a get well soon message on Twitter, Mariner posted: "Thank you, I'm fighting and have incredible people looking after me."
