Changes to Preston bus station services as multi-million pound makeover continues
With renovation work almost complete on the east side of the station, more buses will now be operating from that side – towards the ring road.
The changes are the latest stage of work on the multi-million pound redevelopment of the well-known landmark.

Coaches will operate from a temporary area on the western side of the building, while the new coach station is created.
As part of this work, there have been repairs to the concrete, as well as new doors, lighting, bus stands, security cameras, bus signs, windows and much more. The wooden barriers have also been revamped.
The west side is undergoing a similar refurbishment, protecting the listed features of the building, while making improvements. This side will also include more seating, using some of the current wooden barriers to create new benches.

Lancashire County Councillor Keith Iddon, Cabinet member for highways and transport, said: “This is yet another landmark moment in our redevelopment of this iconic building. People could find that their bus moves to a new stand as part of these changes.
“We advise you to check with staff from the bus station or the bus operators, to find your new stand.”
