Police seek witnesses after elderly pedestrian hospitalised in crash
At around 6:25pm yesterday evening (Friday, March 10), a Mercedes E350 saloon car has been travelling along Watery Lane, Preston, when it has overtaken a Mercedes Hymer motorhome.
At the same time, an elderly couple were crossing the road resulting in a collision between a woman, 78, and the Mercedes saloon.

Hide AdThe woman suffered a number of injuries including a punctured lung along with fractures to her shoulder, pelvis, ribs and ankles. She was taken to Royal Preston Hospital where she remains.
The other pedestrian was uninjured.
Sgt Steve Hardman from the Road Policing Unit said: “We need anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward and speak to us.
“This woman has been left with a number of serious injuries and so it’s important we ascertain exactly what happened from eye witnesses who were there at the time.”
