A casualty was taken to hospital after a road crash in Preston.

Two fire engines from Fulwood and Longridge attended a collision involving two cars on Silk Mill Lane, Goosnargh.

One person was released by firefighters using cutters and spreaders and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Firefighters were at the scene for 50 minutes.

The incident happened shortly before 6.30pm yesterday.
