Pedestrian killed in collision with van
Police say the pedestrian was struck by a van just after 4am near to the Bellflower pub.
The busy road between Cabus and Churchtown remained closed in both directions into the rush hour as accident investigators examined the scene.

Hide AdA Lancashire Police spokesman said: “We were called at around 4.10am to Garstang Road, near to the old Chequered Flag - now called the Bellflower - where a male pedestrian had been in collision with a van. Sadly the man died.
“We are currently investigating the cause of the collision and we will release more details when we have them.”
A fire crew was called out to atttend the scene after reports of a casualty trapped under a vehicle. But they were not needed.
