A fire involving an electrical intake box was started on Saturday afternoon at a house on Melrose Way.
The incident, which happened at 2:54pm, was attended by two fire engines from Chorley and Leyland.
Firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
No injuries were reported.
