Two youths arrested and 10 parents fined after 'serious incident' in Chorley town centre

Police were called to reports of a "gathering" in the Hollinshead Street and Union Street area of Chorley on Sunday, February 28.
One man reportedly suffered head injuries after an incident broke out between 4pm and 6pm, resulting in two people being arrested.

Hide AdTen other youths who were at the scene were also identified, causing their parents to be fined £200 each.
"Many of these youths and parents had already been educated with regards to breaching the rules but unfortunately the education wasn't enough and the youths were still out in large groups," a spokesman for Lancashire Police said.
Officers are now appealing for witnesses and are also asking anyone with CCTV footage to come forward.
