Detectives believe they may have driven off in a blue vehicle.
No arrests were reported but police said enquiries were ongoing.
DC Philip Hampson, from Chorley CID, said: "This is a shocking incident which must have been terrifying for the victims who were threatened by these men in their place of work.

"These individuals were prepared to use weapons in order to steal and we are following a number of lines of enquiry in order to identify them."
Both offenders are described as white, in their early 20s, of medium build and were wearing balaclavas and dark clothing.
They also spoke with northern accents, according to police.
"I would appeal to anyone who think they may know who the people in the CCTV images are or who may have been in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious, in particular a blue vehicle, to contact us," DC Philip Hampson added.
