Police release picture of car wanted in connection with Preston street shooting

Two shots were fired from inside a vehicle on Elcho Street at around 3.30pm on August 30. Men wearing balaclavas were spotted fleeing the scene in a silver Land Rover (pictured).
Police have now appealed for CCTV or dashcam footage.
A spokesman said: "We need footage of this silver Land Rover following a firearm discharge on Elcho Street, Preston on August 30. Between then and Sept 1 the car may have been in Ingol, Tanterton, Ashton areas or further afield, possibly on different registration plates."

Hide AdNobody was injured during the incident. A 28-year-old man from Preston was detained yesterday on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent yesterday. He remains in police custody.
