Business is a piece of cake for sweet treat caravan duo
And Rachel Rose-Barnard and Katie Cox are doing it in vintage style with the help of a curvaceous collegue – Nancy the caravan.
The Poulton pair have launched Cup and Cake, a roving cafe business which aims to bring some olde world charm to festivals this summer. Katie, 38, said Nancy was a 1960s caravan owned by Rachel, 32, but which desperately needed renovation.

“But we have renovated her to an extremely high standard, she’s practically brand new now and we offer high quality service and products from her gorgeous curvy body!
“Nancy is cute, quirky and a real eye catcher and we hope to bring something old-fashioned and interesting to events, weddings andfestivals.”
And despite only launching their tea and cakes business this spring their calendar is already looking jam packed.

“We already have a wedding and half a dozen other events.”
Ironically for a business based on cakes and treats, Katie said the pair met at her Slimming World class inPoulton.
She said: “Rachel and I both met over a love of cakes at Slimming World and have since formed a strong business partnership.
“We’ve lost a fantastic amount of weight between us (over eight stone) and have found great friends for life.

“We make a good team I take on the things Rachel doesn’t like doing and she is the baker who can turn her hand to just about anything.
“Rachel loves to play in the kitchen and is currently developing a recipe for home made Krispy Kreme style donuts.
“It has taken us about 12 months to get to this point. Restoring Nancy was a big undertaking. But we are very proud of her.”
