A house-builder has come up with a new recipe for family living near Preston – by changing the kitchen.

Anwyl Homes has made some small changes to its Stonebridge Fold development in Longridge, which it hopes “could make a big difference to buyers”.

It has added a kitchen island to its four-bedroom, detached Farndon-style property.

Matthew Gould, Anwyl Homes Lancashire sales director, said: “Cooking and baking has had a real resurgence in recent months, from the banana bread craze to people trying to recreate favourite restaurant dishes at home.

“Children have also been lending a hand in the kitchen more, helping them learn new skills and about what goes into their meals.

“We’ve added a kitchen island to our Farndon house type, providing a great space where families can potentially gather around and prepare ingredients together.”

Stonebridge Fold is an 83-home development on Whittingham Road with a range of three and four-bedroom homes.

The Farndon is available from £286,995.
