Three top shows start season
Keeping up the family tradition is Peggy’s daughter, Suzanne Brierley-Ward, making her debut as a producer, alongside Sarah Pye. Both were in the original LADOS 1993 production when they played High School girls, Frenchie and Rizzo while John Beamer, a cool Danny Zuko in 1993, is now DJ Fontein.
The leading roles of Sandy & Danny are played by LADOS newcomers, Amy Jo Clough and Charlie Edwards.

Hide AdCommittee chairman, Sylvia Rogerson, returns after six years as a teacher, in 1993 she was Miss Lynch the headmistress, and joining her out of retirement is LADOS Secretary, Audrey Tarney.
Grease opens at Lancaster’s Grand Theatre on Tuesday, September 12 and runs to Saturday, September 14 at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
For this year’s autumn production, Southport’s last remaining church hall drama group, The West End Players, are presenting the hilarious comedy Can’t Pay, Won’t Pay by Dario Fo translated into English by Lino Pertile. Dario Fo is one of the world’s most celebrated playwrights.
When Antonia and Margherita join a group of women take part in an unplanned ‘supermarket sweep’, in protest at ever rising prices, the ensuing chaos spirals out of control as they seek to evade the long arm of the law and the wrath of their husbands.
