Rising Damp plays at the Lowry
After a successful opening in Blackpool, a national tour of the stage version of TV sitcom Rising Damp reaches the Lowry in Salford next week.
It’s a new production from the Comedy Theatre Company, and is directed by original cast member Don Warrington.
The ITV sitcom ran from 1974 to 1978, set in a run-down Victorian house where Rupert Rigsby rules the tenants who rent out his shabby bedsits.
