As part of their ongoing fund raising activities, Preston St John Ambulance SJA held a presentation night at the County headquarters on Monday evening.
Various firms who have supported Preston SJA in its 120 challenge were given certificates including: Ashton Methodist Church, Morrisons, Preston Technical Ltd, Preston Bus, Stagecoach, Transport Models and Leyland Model railway club.
The new mobile first aid unit, purchased with donations to Preston SJA, was also on display for donors to see.
David Hoyle said: "Being able to purchase this pop up unit, means we now have a small portable first aid unit we can take to events, it is also equipped and means our members can now treat any casualty in more appropriate surroundings.
"The equipment in the unit can be used both inside the unit or taken inside for use at indoor events so it is very cost effective."
"Buying the unit was one of our aims for this year, now we are looking to purchase an AED machine and Oxygen equipment to complete our unit."
If anyone can help with donations to our 120 challenge - 120 people to donate £120 each in our 120th year - or would like to donate to SJA, please contact our county headquarters 01772 252239.
