"Breathless to Everest Base Camp" was the talk given by Norman Harris to the members of INGOL WI.
Norman spent a week in Katmandu to get acclimatized to the height, then took the members on an illustrated journey up narrow paths and by Teahouses where you had overnight stops over narrow bridges and giving the Yak trains preference of way and eventually arriving at the base camp where you can see Everest in the distance.

It was a hard journey but an ambition realised.

During the business of the meeting, Valeire Owen from Lea WI, who was our delegate, gave a full and interesting report of the AGM in Liverpool, she was thanked by Mrs Waterhouse.

Three members completed the Moonlight Walk on behalf of St Cathrine's hospice.

The next meeting on Wenesday 9th of July is our Annual Dinner at ferrari's.
