The April meeting brought a wake up call on how important it is to care for feet.
Mrs Joan Braithwaite, the President, introduced two ladies from the Hotter shoe shop in Southport.

The firm started making shoes and slippers in 1959 and it wasn't long before they branched out into shoes for men and women.

The Slelmersdale based firm now produce 1300,000 pairs of shoes every year and it was suprising just how many shoes had found their way to the members.

One member said she had fourteen pairs, but over refreshments, another Lady claimed she had a higher number- they must be good.

Hotter shoes are made of leather and the slides showed us they were made with special features to give them a perfect fit and to ensure wearers they have a comfortable shoe.

It was an enlightening evening and made the group members much more aware of their feet.

On the 12th May, the group is holding a 'Resolutions' meeting followed by a 'candlelight Evening.'

Wondering what that title suggests?

Join the members at 7.30pm at New Longton Methodist Hall.
