Hoole WI AGM - September 2008

The Annual Meeting at Hoole WI is a time when members are taken through the speakers, outings and achievements of the past 12 months.
These are many and varied and WI ladies are respected members of the community for their support of village activities and charities.

Congratulations were given Jean Aughton and Jeanette Ballantyne on their success in reaching the semi finals of the WI Bowls Championship that had been held at Hambleton.

As usual the wonderful Jacob's Join supper is one of the highlights of the evening followed by the official business of the AGM.

The time when last year's committee are thanked for their work during the year, the new committee introduced and voting for president takes place.

Jackie Hobson was the officiator of this and announced that Netta Brodrick had been re-elected president for the coming year when another varied programme of events and challenges have been arranged.

The next meeting of Hoole WI in the Village Hall on Thursday November 6 when potential new members or visitors are most welcome to join in.
