Members knowledge of history and chemistry were increased when they were entertained by Matthew Lepp from Tiger Muffin Soap.
He demonstrated firstly how to make a bath bomb, informing at the same time different methods of cleansing which have been used right from Phoenician times 2800 years ago, through all the different centuries right up to date with shower gel and finally a tablet of soap.

He enthusiastically showed how the simple ingredients mixed and gelled together to produce pretty coloured and pleasant smelling products that everyone needs and uses.

The next WI meeting is on August 7 in Hoole Village Hall to which everyone is welcome.
