Freckleton WI - March 2009

The March meeting of Freckleton Womens Institute was held on Tuesday March 10 in the Village Hall when the speaker was Panny Elger from The House of Colour.
We learned that we are all one of four colour types, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

Each type is made up of cool and warm shades, and how to decide which type you are and to mix and match the warm and cool colours to the best effect.

The competition for the Best Hyacinth was won by Michaela Bass, The Raffloe by Doreen Norris and the Quiz compiles by Marlene Dowling was won by Pat Phillips.

In May we are to take a Canal Boat trip from Barton Grange, future plans hope to involve a louncheon club, cinema or theatre trips, visits to the ballet.

These outing will by led by members and suggestions will be welcomed for any activities which the members would like to partake in.

Our next meeting is April 14 which will be our 87th Birthday Party. The speakers will be Chandra and Richard Law Demonstrating Malaysian Batik. The competition is for A Home Made Card.
