The Cabus W.I. meeting in April was addressed by Helen Smith, the owner of Culinary Herbs.
Helen drew attention to the wide range of herbs and spices available for international cuisine and demonstrated the use of some of the herbs in a stir-fry. Members of the group sampled the dish.

Helen also outlined a number of little known uses for herbs, eg the use of lovage leaves to remove foot odour from trainers.

The competition for the best growing herb was won by Ann Storey, the runner up was Nichola Thompson.
