The Basics are a young 4 piece indie/rock band from, Preston in Lancashire.
Since starting out back in 2002 at school jamming in a friends garage and the odd charity gig the band went from strength to strength and after various name changes and personnel changes they finally settled on the name "The Basics" and the present l
ine-up of, Luke Bolton; Guitar/Vocals; H Parsonage; Lead Guitar; Jake Walker; Bass Pat Simpson; Drums.

The bands debut 5 track self-penned CD "Big and Clever" recently attracted interest from, Radio 1 when the track "Caricature of a Stereotype" was played on DJ Huw Stephens late night show on podcast.
The new single "Jetlag" is another song penned by Vocalist, Luke Bolton and will be out on CD soon.
