X Factor auditions coming to a Preston pub
Talent scouts from ITV’s The X Factor will be coming along to an open mic night at the Continental with the chance of being fast-tracked into the competition up for grabs.
Crews from the singing show will be attending the night-time event to film singers hoping to make an impression.

And the pub’s events manager Robin Talbot says it could be a big chance for some talented locals.
He said: “We were contacted by ITV’s X Factor show to say they had been looking across Preston for a good venue to hold the night.
“They said they liked what we’d done with some of our previous events and thought we’d be the best place to hold it.

“You never know it might be the start of something big for someone and we’re sure it’ll be a really good night.”
And anyone who fancies their chances singing on the stage can book a slot on the night.
A place on the mic can be booked by finding the Continental’s Facebook page and sending them a message saying you’d like to be part of the night - although you must be 16-years-old or older.
The event takes place on Tuesday, April 11 and runs from 8pm until 11pm at the South Meadow Lane pub.
