Coun Morgan's mum, Tracey Rawlinson, said: "I'm so proud of her. She was nervous, what with all the work she does.

"She's done brilliantly; it's fantastic."

Tracey's husband and Jade's step father, Coun Martyn Rawlinson, said: "Me and her mum are very proud of the results she's achieved.

"She took on four A Levels when most only take on three, so getting four B's. especially when also being a councillor, is brilliant."

Coun Rawlinson added: "To manage her workload at her age is pretty impressive."

Coun Morgan is set to commute to Lancaster University in order to fulfill her constituency commitments.

In 2016, Jade replaced Coun Veronica Afrin, who stepped down after 38 years as a councillor.
