28-year-old Jason has been involved in magic since he was eight and since becoming professional at the age of 23, the close-up illusionist has set his sights on making it in the big time.

Having already performed regularly for Preston North End, Bolton Wanderers, and Burnley, as well as to sports stars Frank Bruno, pictured, Phil Tufnell, Michael Owen, and Alan Shearer, Leyland-born Jason’s services are now in demand over 4,000 miles away in the Middle East, where he has started traveling to Bahrain to perform his catalogue of tricks, something he is booked to do once again this year.

Jason said: “Performing in Bahrain is really great; the people are lovely. I can’t wait to go back.”

And the illusionist is proud to be doing his part in putting Preston on the map.

He said: “The support from the people of Preston as I travel to the Middle East is overwhelming.

“It really makes me proud to represent our city.”

A spokesperson for Bolton Wandered said: “Jason has been our matchday magician for over 5 years. He entertains our hospitality guests and sponsors on matchdays and also visits our family stand prior to kick off. He’s very popular with sponsors.”

The likes of television talent shows like Britian’s Got Talent have tempted Jason, but for now he is biding his time.

He said: “There have been quite a lot of illusion-based acts recently, so the timing has to be right to go for something like that, but I’ve definitely not ruled it out!”
