“The meal is open to everyone and we want people to get to know Muslims on a greater level.

“It’s open to all faiths and we’re hoping for around 70-80 people.”

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim year, during which strict fasting is observed from dawn to sunset.

This year, it runs from May 26 until June 24.

The event will see Adam Kelwick and Bilal Brown, two Islam converts, speak.

Nadeem said: “We wanted to get converts to speak so people can talk about whatever they like and discuss different things.

“They are very inspiring people and I think people will find them very interesting to listen to.

“It doesn’t matter what faith and views you have.”

The meal takes place in Quakers Meeting Hall which is 189 St George’s Road in Preston from 8.45pm to 10pm.
